Marcos is an illustrator and painter with a base in both Barcelona and the Basque Country.
He has created original art for both textile design, fashion and music. In his personal work as a painter and street artist, he is influenced by nature, as well as urban subcultures of his hometown. Marcos considers himself a multidisciplinary artist, as he really enjoys working in different areas.
Whether working on illustration commissions, or on his paintings and murals, he likes to combine different – often symbolic elements and points of interest in the composition, that feed into each other and shift the focus between them.
When he’s not commissioned to work on a certain direction, central themes of his art tend to center around the animal world in interaction with an, at times, destructive human nature. Obviously his art will not save the world. However, through his fascination with nature and wildlife, Marcos’s hope is – through the power of art – to push the agenda for a greater awareness of our role in breaking natural cycles.
