Episode 3: "Belgium to Germany" | Speak Two The Wind

Episode 3 of Speak Two The Wind finds the crew still riding high from the American leg of their two-wheeled journey. The second leg of this journey picks up with the Volcom Skate Team as they arrive in Belgium and battle the elements on their way to meeting up with The Picturebooks for a private performance at their home studio.

There’s little protection from the elements on a motorcycle and when the crew started their journey through Europe, mother nature decided to throw them a curve ball. Riding hundred sixty kilometers in the rain through Belgium to Germany they rendezvoused with The Picturebooks who accompanied them to their studio in Gütersloh, Germany. Son of legendary skateboarder Claus Grabke, Fynn and his buddy Philipp Mirtschink are the duo that make up The Picturebooks. Having both skateboarding and life on the road in common, the guys had no problem fitting in with the crew as they took them in from the rain and showed them the finer side of the local scene as they made their way to Germany. Local skateboarder and motorcycle enthusiast, Jonathan Thijs, also tagged along for the ride. After many miles on the road they finally reached their destination, the DIY skatepark in Hanover, Germany where a proper session went down before the rain crept back in. After the passing shower the crew saddled up and continued the journey further into the European countryside.
